Our main units for Term 2 are:

We are also looking at:

Room 6

We are becoming more familiar with KnowledgeNET and have set up our own individual pages. We are clocking up a lot of steps with our McDonalds pedometers and are polishing up our map reading skills. We are especially lucky to have not one, but TWO teachers, in our class at the moment - this will be especially useful as preparation gets underway for the designing and making of our 'wearable arts' costumes for the production.

Room 7

We are using 'B'dazzles' (BAS Dollars) in Room 7 and are trying hard to earn these by making our work super neat, completing all set tasks and generally by being super fantastic in and out of class.  By recording what we have going in and out of our B'dazzle accounts we are developing our addition and subtraction skills as well as our financial literacy.  We are looking forward to studying a variety of sea creatures in preparation for the school production in term 3. We already have some good ideas about what we would like to be.

What are teeth?

Teeth are in your mouth and they are white.

You have 32 adult teeth and 20 baby teeth. The names of your teeth are insisors, canines and molars. Your teeth stay in your gums.

You chop, rip and chew with your teeth.

You use floss to get plaque from the places you can’t reach. When you go to the dentist they look at your teeth and if you have holes they put fillings in the holes.

You should brush your teeth twice a day. You only use a pea drop of toothpaste. Fluoride is something in tooth paste and it protects your teeth.

The brown stuff on your teeth means they are rotten. Your teeth should be healthy.

What are teeth?

We find them in our mouths. If you see a pink thing that its on, that’s the gum, it holds the tooth in place.

Canines are the pointy teeth at the side. You have 20 baby teeth and 32 adult teeth.

When you brush your teeth in the bathroom use a pea size blob of toothpaste. Why? Cause there's fluoride in it. Fluoride is something put in water or toothpaste to keep teeth strong.

We need to brush our teeth because we need them to talk and eat.

Plaque is caused by sugary snacks. Floss is a special string to remove plaque from between teeth. If you don’t brush your teeth you will lose them and wont be able to eat.
